Thanks to Michigan's strong manufacturing background, skilled workforce, and Renewable Portfolio Standard that requires 10% of their energy to come from clean and alternative energy sources by 2015, wind turbine manufacturing companies are locating plants in Michigan and creating jobs for communities devastated by the economic downturn.

Today's Detroit News has an article about a new Global Wind Systems plant opening soon in Novi, MI that promises 250 manufacturing jobs and more to come soon.
