Green Jobs in the News: A Visit from the Vice President!

Body

Yesterday, Vice President Biden held a panel discussion in Perrysburg focusing on the potential for Green Jobs to revitalize our economy as part of his Middle Class Task Force. Over 300 people attended the discussion along with numerous elected officials, business leaders, and advocates for a green economy. This is the third high profile visit of an Obama Administration official to the region to talk about Green Jobs! There was wall-to-wall coverage of the event if you didn't get a chance to attend yourself, check out the coverage from the Toledo Blade.

In addition to the visit by the Veep, a start up company announced plans yesterday to locate their silicon production facility here, bringing with it $50 million in investments and upwards of 100 good paying jobs over the next year.
