The LEWAS (Lake Erie Western Alliance for Sustainability) has come
together as an alliance to address our growing concerns about climate
change and to come up with ideas about how our community can respond to
the challenges associated with sustainability within the western Lake
Erie region. Sound like a bit of a rehash of our "About Us" page? Well,
becoming a member is about embracing and pursuing our mission to look
towards a greener tomorrow!
Become a member today to show your support and help our efforts in
broadening awareness in the surrounding communities. Along those lines,
We are working to coordinate our efforts with other environmental and
sustainability organizations in the region to promote opportunities for
growth and development.
As just one example, you could lend a hand in helping turn our region
around toward a green economy with green jobs and the type of
revitalization that we are on the brink of. Our region is uniquely
poised to transfer blue-collar jobs over to the type of green-collar
jobs that our region could specialize in.

Who can become a
member?
LEWAS members come from all walks of life. However, all of those
members share a common vision about bringing awareness of
sustainability, environmental activism and green initiatives that
affect our region of the state. All of these efforts reflect a local
effort that has global impact.
